Details: Weston’s Fantastic Finger Guides - Combo Pack: D Major Beginner Guide and All Notes Violin Finger Guide for violin was created over several years by an orchestra teacher. After 10 years of teaching with finger tapes, he decided to create a better way to teach than with tapes. He observed that finger tapes are abstract and do not display any musical information. The Fantastic Finger Guides put the best musical information to grow into a confident violinist at the student's fingertips. The D Major Beginner Guide gets the student up and going. Beginners can learn song such as hot cross buns in minutes versus days. The patented 2 color - 3 shape design on the All Notes Guide is simple for the intermediate student to understand how to navigate all notes in first position. The sharp/flat direction indicator on the side of neck shows which direction to go for sharp and flat notes, and position indicator on the other side of the neck helps the student play in multiple positions (see photos). Easily play in different keys and learn all chromatic notes. The D Major Beginner Guide and All Notes Finger Guide works with all method books (purchase the A Major Beginner Guide if you are learning to play using the Suzuki Method Book). The finger guide goes on easily and comes off with no gooey mess. The note locations are accurate and have been tested on lots of instruments for accuracy. Once the student has become confident in knowing his or her notes and positions, they should remove the decals. The fingerboard map will be in their visual memory for a reference and they will not need the guides again on their instrument. The finger guide are not reusable. PLEASE NOTE: The Fantastic Finger Guides system is intended to help the student understand the language of music on day one. There is no finger guide in the world that will guarantee you play in tune. Students should use the visual guide to understand language of music and their ears to play in tune. Have a musical day!
